We currently ship to Australia, Canada and the EU and offer First-Class USPS shipping for all International orders. We plan to offer shipping to other International countries in the near future. Items generally ship within 1-3 business days from order receipt and usually take 7-10 business days to arrive at International destinations.
International Customs, Duties & Taxes
The customer is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The customer of an international shipment is responsible for applicable import taxes, customs duties and fees, including a Value Added Tax (VAT), which are levied once a shipment reaches the destination country. Additional charges for customs clearance must also be borne by the customer; we have no control over these charges and can't predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
WagAware donates 50% of our company net profits (after taxes) to 501(c)(3) dog rescue and welfare charities. Our mission is to create a sustainable business that donates an unprecedented 50% of our profits to raise awareness and funds to save dogs’ lives. Our 50% charitable giveback is more than any other company we can find in the pet market. We are also registered with the CA Attorney General as a Commercial Co-Venture, so we are monitored and regulated by the State.
We donate annually (throughout the year) 50% of our company net profits (after taxes) to 501(c)(3) charities dedicated to saving dogs' lives, like the Bill Foundation, the Humane Society of the United States, Dogs Without Borders, Animal Haven, Noahs Ark's Rescue, K9 Kokua, and other dog rescue and welfare groups around the country. We have kept our charitable mandate broad so we can help out when most needed (disasters) and be flexible to donate to organizations we come to know and support.
Because most of these charms have been “sleeping” during the shipping process, you may want to place them in direct light for a few minutes to activate the glow. This also encourages dog owners to take their dogs out for walks to maintain the glowing feature.
WagAware created the first and only universal awareness symbol to encourage dog rescue and adoption, and in our case what we love so much is that our dogs wear the charms too and are advocates for their furry friends in need. When you and/or your dog wear the WagAware charm, you encourage others to adopt their next pet (and support rescue) and show the world you care enough to do something about the pet homelessness problem. Think of LiveStrong or the Breast Cancer ribbons, but our cause is of course saving dogs’ lives, and our dogs are Ambassadors for their furry friends in need. Thus, we give our dogs and those not so fortunate a voice and a chance for lives they deserve. We like that our symbolic design which promotes rescue is on both sides of the charm to have maximim impact. We see our charm as a compliment to your dog’s ID tags and other decorative charms (and because of it’s colors and design, it really PAW-ops!), but it does not have a place for your dog's info to be engraved. The charm is meant to be layered much like the LiveStrong bracelets were and it is made of a softer material so it also "buffers" the clinking sound of other tags on your dogs' collar!
Cats can wear our WagAware charms to help their furry canine friends in need, and the funds we donate often go to organizations that rescue both dogs and cats, so it effectively also helps cats. We hope to come out with a specific-for-cats charm soon!
We strongly recommend that you attach the WagAware Charm directly to the metal “D” of your dog’s collar so it is connected close enough to the collar so that it is not accessible to your dog’s mouth. For this same reason, we also we recommend that you make sure your dog’s collar is comfortably tight around your dog’s neck. See: http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/dogs/tips/collars.html.

WagAware create the first and only dog rescue charm, and we are on a mission to raise awareness and funds to support dog rescue. When you or your dog wears the WagAware Charm, you spread the important message that adoption should be the first and only choice when opening your home to a new furry friend! THIS SAVES LIVES! When you purchase a WagAware Charm, you have the peace of mind that WagAware also donates 50% of our company profits to dog rescue charities. THIS SAVES LIVES! We are creating a WagAware Ruff-olution and when you join you help us SAVE LIVES! It takes a village, but if each of us does a little bit, together we can save so many, many deserving dogs’ lives!
The HSUS estimates that animal shelters care for 6-8 million dogs and cats every year in the U.S., of whom approximately 3-4 million are euthanized annually; that's more than 9,000 per day or 6 per minute. In the 1970s, American shelters euthanized 12-20 million dogs and cats, at a time when there were 67 million pets in homes. Today, shelters euthanize around 3-4 million animals, while there are more than 135 million dogs and cats in homes. This enormous decline in euthanasia numbers—from around 25 percent of American dogs and cats euthanized every year to about 3 percent—represents substantial progress. We will make still greater progress by working together to strike at the roots of animal overpopulation.
